Bra Size Guide: How to Measure and Find Your Fit

Find your size in two minutes

Most women are wearing the wrong bra size, and almost always the band is the problem. Here is how to get it right the first time.

How to measure

1. Underbust. Wrap a tape measure snugly around your ribcage, directly under your bust. Keep it level and firm, then exhale and read the number.
2. Fullest bust. Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape loose and level. Do not compress.
3. Find your size. Match your fullest bust to the chart below.

Between two sizes? Size up

Our bands are firm on purpose, because in a wire-free bra the band does the work the wire used to do. A band that is too tight will not give you more support, it will just hurt. If your underbust measurement sits on the line, take the larger size.

Signs you are in the wrong size right now

• The band rides up your back. The band is too loose, or the straps are doing too much of the work. Go down a band, or tighten the straps.
• The straps carve grooves into your shoulders. The band is not carrying the weight. Usually the band is too loose.
• Spillage over the top or under the arm. The cup is too small. Size up.
• Cup gapping or wrinkling. The cup is too big. Size down.
• Red marks under the bust at the end of the day. The band is too tight. Size up, or use a band extender.

Shapewear and underwear sizing

For shapewear and panties, size by your hip measurement at the fullest point. If you are between sizes, size up. Shapewear that is too small does not shape more, it just creates a new bulge above and below the compression.
